MindAct is a training and development initiative founded by a Sarawakian, dedicated to advancing youth career readiness and personal growth in Sarawak. Our vision is to become a leading organisation for learning and development within the Sarawak community—equipping individuals with an understanding of real-world industry expectations, workplace values and the skills needed to remain competitive. Through practical learning, we empower individuals to realise their potential, pursue meaningful careers and achieve lasting personal growth.
Your projects, internship and campus activities can show what you bring. The key is explaining what you actually did.
Illustrative example — only use details that are true for you.
“Coordinated a five-person student team, assigned tasks and tracked deadlines to deliver a campus event.”
A specific situation. A clear action. Something you can discuss.
SAME PERSON. STRONGER EVIDENCE.

MEET THE PERSON BEHIND MINDACT
An engineer’s perspective. A trainer’s purpose.
Hi, I’m Ivan Chong — a trainer and speaker with a production engineering background.
Working in manufacturing has shown me how much ownership, discipline and communication matter when knowledge meets the real workplace.
I’m building MindAct to help young people understand that transition: recognise their strengths, communicate their value and take the next step with purpose.
“I’m not afraid to try. I’m afraid of missing the opportunity to achieve my dream—because it might be the only chance I get.”
Don’t wait for opportunity. Create your own.
— Ivan Chong
ROOTED IN SARAWAK. BUILT AROUND PEOPLE.
Potential means more when you act on it.
We believe young people should understand what the working world expects and have the confidence to shape their place in it. MindAct brings that purpose into practical learning, rooted in Sarawak.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Good questions. Straight answers.
Who is this programme for?+
Students, fresh graduates and young adults preparing to apply for work. Schools, colleges, universities and youth organisations can also enquire about a session for their participants.
Do I need work experience?+
No. Academic projects, internships, volunteering and extracurricular activities can help you demonstrate relevant skills. The focus is on making your real contribution clear.
Is this only about writing a resume?+
Resume writing is the core focus. The programme also covers what to consider before applying for a job and how to prepare for an interview, so your resume connects with the story you tell in person.
What are the dates, format and fees?+
Contact Ivan to discuss availability, delivery format, duration and fees for your needs. There is no fixed public schedule listed at the moment.
Does an ATS-friendly resume guarantee an interview?+
No. Clear formatting and relevant content help communicate your experience, but recruitment decisions depend on the employer and the role. MindAct focuses on honest, practical preparation.
